Per ragioni estranee alla comprensione umana Kanye West ha ottenuto la bellezza di sette nomination, seguito da Adele, Foo Fighters e Bruno Mars con 6.
Poca roba per Lady Gaga e Katy Perry, e addirittura niente per Taylor Swift che ha recentemente trionfato agli American Music Awards.
Durante lo show che è stato trasmesso dalla NBC si sono esibite anche Rihanna, che ha cantato We Found Love via satellite da Londra (sopra), e Lady Gaga con Marry The Night e You and I.
