Lorde, “la più improbabile superstar del pop”, secondo il nuovo numero di Rolling Stone che è uscito ieri negli Stati Uniti.
La 17enne cantautrice neozelandese, sbattuta in copertina con una t-shirt dei Cramps, ha rilasciato al magazine americano una dichiarazione piuttosto interessante sull’autenticità e l’originalità dei punti di riferimento adolescenziali dei giorni nostri:
“Io e Taylor Swift siamo tra le poche reali voci adolescenti. Ci sono pochissimi come noi. C’è Tavi e il gruppo Rookie, King Krule e, in una certa misura, Jake Bugg.
Gli altri teenager cantano canzoni di altri, che va bene, ma non è una autentica esperienza adolescenziale.”
Lorde solleva un paio di problemi reali…
Il primo è se Taylor Swift può essere ancora considerata una adolescente a 24 anni.
E poi, gli adolescenti devono per forza cantare? Perché non aspettano di compiere 20 anni come hanno fatto tutti i più grandi idoli del passato, dai Beatles a Kurt Cobain?
