Ieri notte (12 febbraio), allo Staples Center di Los Angeles sono andati in scena i 59esimi Grammy Awards, presentati per l’occasione dal buon James Corden.
La dominatrice assoluta della serata di ieri è stata Adele: la cantante inglese infatti, si è aggiudicata cinque premi su cinque, vincendo in ogni categoria dove era stata nominata. Beyoncé su nove nomination, si è invece dovuta accontentare di due trofei. Chance The Rapper ha tronfato in tre categorie, Drake in due, mentre Kanye West e Rihanna ne sono usciti a mani vuote…
Adele non ci credeva quasi di aver beffato Queen Bey per l’album dell’anno, e dopo essersi scusata per le troppe imprecazioni, ha fatto volare uno speech di ammirazione e sgomento in cui spiegava di non poter accettare assolutamente il premio, perché Lemonade di Beyoncé è un album monumentale.
Kanye West probabilmente stava già sfrecciando verso il teatro da casa sua, ma grazie al cielo Adele ha fatto tutto da sola:
Chance The Rapper, rapper ma devotissimo cristiano, non si è lasciato sfuggire l’occasione di alzare uno dei tre premi vinti al cielo, ringraziando il buon Dio:
…e anche l’Immacolata Concezione in persona, cioè Beyoncè…
E chi non vorrebbe essere concepito da Beyoncé?

Niente da fare per Kanye West, Justin Bieber (che non erano presenti alla cerimonia, così come anche Drake impegnato nel suo tour europeo) e per Rihanna, che dopotutto l’ha prese bene, ma non benissimo:
Da non trascurare anche i meritatissimi 5 Grammy Awards postumi assegnati al grandissimo David Bowie.
Ovviamente questa edizione dei Grammy è stata ricchissima, oltre che di premi, anche di esibizioni che tra le più attese vedevano The Weeknd con i Daft Punk, Lady Gaga e i Metallica e il ritorno di Katy Perry con il suo nuovo singolo Chained To The Rhythm.
